Dental treatment plan software for UK practices
- Options side by side
- NHS, private and plan lines
- Every version kept
Options and phases
Give patients real choices, clearly priced
Build a plan with as many options as the patient needs, such as an implant, a bridge or a denture, and mark the one you recommend. Each option has its own phases and its own total. Every line carries the treatment, the tooth and surface, the quantity, the price, the chair time and whether it is NHS, private, practice plan or free. An NHS option shows its band charge once for the course, and a recorded exemption is taken into account.
- Several options per plan, one marked as recommended
- Work grouped into phases
- NHS, private and plan funding on every line

Acceptance and versions
A clear record of what was offered and agreed
When the patient decides, staff record which option they accepted, how they gave their answer and who recorded it, or that they declined and why. The accepted total is fixed at that moment. If the plan changes, a new version is created with a reason, and every earlier version stays on the record, so you can always show what the patient was offered and when.
- Accepted option, method and date recorded
- Declines kept with the reason
- New version with a reason for every change

What is dental treatment plan software?
Dental treatment plan software turns the plan a dentist writes into a record the whole practice can work from: the options offered, what each costs, which one the patient chose, and which parts have been booked and done. For a UK practice it also has to handle NHS, private and plan items side by side, and keep every earlier version when a plan changes.
What the rules expect from a treatment plan
The General Dental Council's Standards for the Dental Team say patients must get a written treatment plan, or plans, before treatment starts. Each plan must show the proposed treatment, a realistic indication of the cost and whether it is NHS or private, with mixed plans showing which part is which. If the plan changes, the patient must be given an updated version in writing. DentiPoint is built around the same ideas: options side by side, funding on every line, and a new version whenever the plan changes, with the old one kept.
From chart to plan to diary
- Build it. Pick treatments from your own menu, add the tooth and surface, set the quantity and chair time, and group the work into phases.
- Agree it. Record which option the patient accepted, or that they declined and why. The accepted total is fixed at that moment.
- Deliver it. Book accepted work, and the appointment is charged the price the patient agreed.
- Track it. See what is booked, done, not done or abandoned, item by item, and close the plan with a reason when it ends.
Part of the patient record
Treatment plans sit on the patient record next to the dental chart, clinical notes and billing, and appointments come from the same diary. Charges and payments land on the patient's account on the payments side. For the paperwork itself, our dental treatment plan template guide sets out what a UK plan must include, and our guide to treatment plan acceptance covers how to present it. Every feature is listed on the features page.
